Obama's Birth Certificate...it doesn't appear that Pelosi had the evidence...that's OK, she'll hang with the rest of them!

The headline above is a creation of Storm'n Norm'n... Meanwhile, a lot of so-called crap will hit the fan when Obama's citizenship is determined to be something other than American.  Not only do I think Pelosi and Reid should be punished severely for their roles in the deliberate faux pas or should I say, "sin of the century" all so-called Czars and other political appointees should receive the maximum punishment for such a crime as was determined at the time the original Constitution was adopted...if hanging was the law, so be it!  I would have second thoughts about putting a noose around Obama's neck, he should be stripped of all worldly possessions and his entire family deported to Kenya never to step foot in this country again!  That's my opnion, and I'm sticking to it! ~ Storm'n Norm'n

Obama’s ineligibility for dummies

By Lawrence Sellin Thursday, March 31, 2011
imageOn August 28, 2008, Representative Nancy Pelosi, then Chair of the Democratic National Convention signed an official Certification of Nomination verifying that Barack Obama was legally qualified to serve as President of the Unitrd States under the provisions of the United States Constitution.
I would like to know what Constitutional criteria were used by Rep. Pelosi to make that determination and what evidence she provided to support her contention.
The issue of Barack Obama’s eligibility must be resolved now before the 2012 election. It is incumbent on those, who authorize his place on the ballot to cite the legal bases for making such a claim.
Let me begin by asserting that the Certification of Live Birth, which mysteriously appeared without verification by the State of Hawaii and may be a forgery, or newspaper clippings, are not adequate proof of eligibility.
Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution states:
“No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”
Traditionally, “natural born” refers to ancestry describing a child born in the United States (or areas such as US military bases), whose parents are US citizens at the time of birth.
I hasten to add, however, that nowhere in the Constitution or in its Amendments is the term “natural born” defined.
Nevertheless, there is a legal paper trail supporting that description. Much of what I write below is taken from a superb report by Leo Donofrio found here (link).
The definition of “natural born” originates from John Armor Bingham, a Republican congressman and abolitionist from Ohio and principal framer of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution.
In 1862 and 1866, respectively, Bingham stated on the floor of the House of Representative:
“All from other lands, who by the terms of [congressional] laws and a compliance with their provisions become naturalized, are adopted citizens of the United States; all other persons born within the Republic, of parents owing allegiance to no other sovereignty, are natural born citizens.”
“Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.”
No Representative took issue with these words. The underlying issues within those Congressional debates were hotly contested. Yet Bingham’s definition of “natural born citizen” (born in the US of citizen parents) was never challenged on the floor of the House.
In the concurring opinion in Duncan v. Louisiana, 391 U.S. 145 (1968), United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Hugo Black, emphasized his reliance on the statements made by Representative Bingham and Senator Howard in Congress which pertain to the drafting and adoption of the Fourteenth Amendment. Justice Black stated that “it is far wiser to rely on” the words of Bingham and Howard when analyzing the 14th Amendment. The relevant passage is as follows:
“Professor Fairman’s “history” relies very heavily on what was not said in the state legislatures that passed on the Fourteenth Amendment. Instead of relying on this kind of negative pregnant, my legislative experience has convinced me that it is far wiser to rely on what was said, and, most importantly, said by the men who actually sponsored the Amendment in the Congress. I know from my years in the United States Senate that it is to men like Congressman Bingham, who steered the Amendment through the House, and Senator Howard, who introduced it in the Senate, that members of Congress look when they seek the real meaning of what is being offered. And they vote for or against a bill based on what the sponsors of that bill and those who oppose it tell them it means.”
As best as I can ascertain from the Constitution and its history, Barack Obama is not eligible to be President of the United States.
That is my argument, Rep. Pelosi. Please tell us yours?

Socialism Is For The People, Not The Socialists ... in other words, only the rich rule and the rest of us become paupers depriving us from the opportunity of becoming rich

I did not write the following... But does that matter?  There is a lesson here that we should all learn.  I think it was Alexis deTocqueville that once said, "There are no paupers in America."  Given the current political climate in America the people making the rules are hell bent on making a hypocrite of deTocqueville.  Storm'n Norm'n
ps: subdued words were added by me ~ bold words emphasis mine

That the spirit of revolutionary change, which has long been disturbing the nations of the world, should have passed beyond the sphere of politics and made its influence felt in the cognate sphere of practical economics is not surprising. The elements of the conflict now raging are unmistakable, in the vast expansion of industrial pursuits and the marvellous discoveries of science; in the changed relations between masters and workmen; in the enormous fortunes of some few individuals, and the utter poverty of the masses; the increased self reliance and closer mutual combination of the working classes; as also, finally, in the prevailing moral degeneracy. The momentous gravity of the state of things now obtaining fills every mind with painful apprehension; wise men are discussing it; practical men are proposing schemes; popular meetings, legislatures, and rulers of nations are all busied with it and bloggers are posting it - actually there is no question which has taken deeper hold on the public mind.

In any case we clearly see, and on this there is general agreement, that some opportune remedy must be found quickly for the misery and wretchedness pressing so unjustly on the majority of the working class: for the ancient working men's guilds were abolished in the last century, and no other protective organization took their place. Public institutions and the laws set aside the ancient religion. Hence, by degrees it has come to pass that working men have been surrendered, isolated and helpless, to the hardheartedness of employers and the greed of unchecked competition. The mischief has been increased by rapacious usury, which, although more than once condemned, is nevertheless, under a different guise (yes, they call it interest), but with like injustice, still practiced by covetous and grasping men. To this must be added that the hiring of labor and the conduct of trade are concentrated in the hands of comparatively few; so that a small number of very rich men have been able to lay upon the teeming masses of the laboring poor a yoke little better than that of slavery itself.
To remedy these wrongs the socialists, working on the poor man's envy of the rich, are striving to do away with private property, and contend that individual possessions should become the common property of all, to be administered by the State or by municipal bodies. They hold that by thus transferring property from private individuals to the community, the present mischievous state of things will be set to rights, inasmuch as each citizen will then get his fair share of whatever there is to enjoy. But their contentions are so clearly powerless to end the controversy that were they carried into effect the working man himself would be among the first to suffer. They are, moreover, emphatically unjust, for they would rob the lawful possessor, distort the functions of the State, and create utter confusion in the community.

It is surely undeniable that, when a man engages in remunerative labor, the impelling reason and motive of his work is to obtain property, and thereafter to hold it as his very own. If one man hires out to another his strength or skill, he does so for the purpose of receiving in return what is necessary for the satisfaction of his needs; he therefore expressly intends to acquire a right full and real, not only to the remuneration, but also to the disposal of such remuneration, just as he pleases and not as the government dictates. Thus, if he lives sparingly, saves money, and, for greater security, invests his savings in land, the land, in such case, is only his wages under another form; and, consequently, a working man's little estate thus purchased should be as completely at his full disposal as are the wages he receives for his labor. But it is precisely in such power of disposal that ownership obtains, whether the property consist of land or chattels. Socialists, therefore, by endeavoring to transfer the possessions of individuals to the community at large, strike at the interests of every wage-earner, since they would deprive him of the liberty of disposing of his wages, and thereby of all hope and possibility of increasing his resources and of bettering his condition in life.
Remember that last line.  It says that you will lose all hope of bettering your condition in life, the exact opposite of any kind of hope and change Obama has promised.  Meanwhile, why don't you check the cost of living directly attributed to the Obama Administration; that includes everything from food to energy...and don't forget those cigars and cigarettes!

"It is perfectly possible for a man to be out of prison, and yet not free - to be under no physical constraint and yet to be a psychological captive, compelled to think, feel and act as the representatives of the national state, or of some private interest within the nation, wants him to think, feel and act.

"The nature of psychological compulsion is such that those who act under constraint remain under the impression that they are acting on their own initiative. The victim of mind-manipulation does not know that he is a victim. To him the walls of his prison are invisible, and he believes himself to be free. That he is not free is apparent only to other people. His servitude is strictly objective."

FBI needs your help... here's your chance to solve a mystery

Source: MSNBC
FBI can't crack the code in this murder case — can you?
ST. LOUIS — Are you good at solving puzzles and cracking codes? If so, the Federal Bureau of Investigation needs your help in cracking a code connected to a homicide in Missouri.
The mystery begins in a St. Louis field on June 30, 1999. Ricky McCormick, 41, was found dead there, and his killer hasn't been caught.
That's where you come in. The FBI said two encrypted notes were found in the victim's pants, and their code crackers haven't been able to figure out what the notes mean.
"We are really good at what we do," said Dan Olson, the chief of the FBI's Cryptanalysis and Racketeering Records Unit. "But we could use some help with this one."
"Breaking this code could reveal the victim's whereabouts before his death and could lead to the solution of a homicide," Olson said. "Not every cipher we get arrives at our door under those circumstances."
“Even if we found out that he was writing a grocery list or a love letter, we would still want to see how the code is solved. This is a cipher system we know nothing about," Olson said.

McCormick was a high school dropout, but he was able to read and write and was said to be “street smart,” the FBI said. Members of his family told authorities that he had used such encrypted notes since he was a boy, but it’s unknown whether anyone besides McCormick could translate his secret language.
The FBI said investigators believe the notes, which contain more than 30 lines, were written up to three days before his death.

It Must Be Due To Ideology...dang it! its about time others started to notice

Its about time other people besides a few of us nobodies recognized the problem...the ignoramuses of the world keep calling us conspiracy theorists when in fact it has never been a theory.  The conspiracy is about to be fulfilled simply because the ignorant refuse to believe.  For those of you who know me, watch the video below and tell me Bill Whittle isn't just echoing what I've been saying for almost three years.  I suppose when I wrote that little comment back in July 0f 2008 about the fear I had about this guy called Obama (see side bar) I should have reworded it to include the fear I have of so many dumbed down Americans that put this guy in the White House... and they keep on getting dumber or is that just another theory?  ~ Norman E. What Is Obama Doing Wrong?
By Bernie

In yesterday's article Obama Is Awesome, I wrote that I voted for Obama because I'm betting he'll screw our economy so badly that gold will rise in price from which I intend to profit mightily.
Forgive me if I gave the impression that the destruction of our economy will be due to his complete and utter incompetence; although he's all that; but what will kill our economy are the policies he pursues based on his ideology. He is an anti-American, anti-Capitalist, anti-individualist communist. No one can be so consistently wrong about business and market forces as he is through sheer stupidity or inexperience - even a buffoon will get some things right some of the time.
As for foreign affairs, some pundits may ascribe his bungling to inexperience; however, Bill Whittle, formerly of PajamasMediaTV, believes "President Obama and his administration's contempt for our traditional allies, coupled with his comfort with our traditional adversaries can no longer be attributed to inexperience, or even incompetence. It must be due to ideology:"
So what is Obama doing wrong that will make the price of gold zoom?
Everything!

Quote of the day: The Tyrannical President

Is there anyone too stupid to understand that tyranny blatantly resides in the form of an imperial presidency, one in which the person, any person, uses executive power to dictate national policy without consent of the people, in violation of law, and defiance of the courts? Are our elected representatives so ignorant of or purposefully dismissive of their constitutional duty to protect and defend the very instrument that gave life to and sustains America that they sit paralyzed while the current president, one who refuses to confirm that he is fact even eligible to that office, trashes the nation? ...read the full story here

Centralized government control...the new Democrats following in the footsteps of Karl Marx

So-called “moderate Democrats” are merely socialists

Wake up, America: Democrats aren’t Democrats Anymore, They’re Communists
By Fred Dardick

And the so-called “moderate Democrats” are merely socialists.

It wasn’t so long ago that much loved Democrat President John F. Kennedy told the nation in his inaugural address, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”, implying a sense of self sacrifice was needed by all Americans to keep the torch of freedom burning bright in a world filled with tyranny.
An idea most could relate to regardless of political affiliation.
But times have changed and modern liberal philosophy has become almost unrecognizable to previous generations. It can be more accurately described as: “Forget personal sacrifice, keep sitting on your behind, and let the government rob your neighbor for you.”
Democrat political aims no longer share the fundamental ideals that have served this nation so well for so long. Rather than put their trust in the righteousness of the American individual, their intention is to transfer as much power as possible to the collective, as represented by the federal government.
President Barack Obama outlined his openly communist thinking at a University of Michigan commencement address this past weekend when he said “When our government is spoken of as some menacing, threatening foreign entity, it ignores the fact that in our democracy, government is us.”
What is he talking about?
First off, you have to be out of your mind to not be at least a little skeptical of an entity that can force you from your home, take away your money, incarcerate you, and ship you off to war … all for sometimes less than perfect reasons.
That’s an awful lot of power just begging to be misused by unscrupulous politicians, and a community organizer should know it. I seem to recall Obama having a real big problem with government not so long ago when we invaded Iraq.
Our founding fathers were right to be fearful of centralized government. They knew from their experiences with the kings of Europe that a small number of people with unchecked power could not be trusted. It wasn’t necessarily unheard of for the ruling class to turn on the common folk and start nailing people to trees.
Obama’s statement “government is us” is likewise absurd.
Government isn’t we the people … I know it sure isn’t me. There’s a whole lot of what the government is up to that doesn’t exactly meet with my approval and I highly doubt Democrats will be contacting me anytime soon for my input.
Obama’s much beloved “government is us” is a collection of few elected officials and a whole lot of overly paid unionized bureaucrats, most of whom willing to do almost anything to keep their jobs.
It’s a representative government and it tends to work best when people of character inhabit the halls of power. Unfortunately it also leaves a lot of room for unethical politicians to stick it to the nation.
Take the healthcare bill for instance. Never has been a more egregious example of political corruption than that obscenity: abuse of power, against the people’s wishes, dire economic consequences for the country … ObamaCare has it all.
Karl Marx himself would be proud.
In the old way of doing things, the House and Senate would pass their bills. Both versions would go to committee where differences were hashed out. Then back to the House and Senate for a final vote.
Pretty standard stuff that has served the nation well for the past couple hundred years … then something happened in January 2010.
Scott Brown, a Republican, was elected to Edward Kennedy’s old Senate seat, and just like that the Democrats no longer had the votes needed to pass their freedom-killing legislation.
That should have been the end of the story, but Democrat politicians, like the communists of old, aren’t so concerned about the rules. As long as the state grows stronger and the individual grows weaker, they don’t much care how it gets done.
So they dug up a procedure called reconciliation and used it in a way that had never been intended, producing a bill that no one understood, or studied, or even had time to read before voting on it.
Obama signed the bill into law and so long democracy … ObamaCare is passed.
Only one month later and the Johnny Come Lately media is filled with reports about Medicare provisions that are “unsustainable” and economic provisions that are “unsustainable”.
Pretty much everything about the bill, including the medical profession as a whole, is “unsustainable”, and yet that piece of liberal fantasy is now law of the land.
White House Budget Director Peter Orszag explained the true purpose of ObamaCare when he said the “Independent Payment Advisory Board has the power and the responsibility to put forward proposals to hit a pretty aggressive set of targets over the long term, and furthermore, the proposals take effect automatically.”
First of all, government proposals that take effect automatically aren’t proposals, they’re laws.
And secondly, what Orszag really means is that a group of unelected bureaucrats in Washington will be given total control of our multi-trillion dollar healthcare system. You can forget about decisions being just between you and you doctor … whatever these people decide will be the last word in American healthcare. Period.
Obama somehow neglected to mention this particular aspect of the legislation during his 100 or so healthcare related speeches and press conferences. But then again, diehard communists never tell you the full story, they only tell you what you want to hear.
And if you’re not buying their nonsense, then you can stuff it because you’re a racist.
Lacking the votes to get any additional power grabs past the Senate, Democrat politicians are now pursuing even worse unconstitutional methods to force their state-first agenda upon the nation.
Rather than pursue Cap and Trade legislation, EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson has declared that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and will start unilaterally imposing limits on static source emitters (power plants, factories, homes, etc…) starting in Jan 2010.
Obama appointee Craig Becker, also known as the Walking Card Check, was named to the National Labor Relations Board and given free reign to steal influence away from employers and hand it over to the unions.
The FCC is pursuing a takeover of the internet with their net neutrality regulations.
All without a single vote in Congress.
Each and every Democrat political priority can be broken down to a simple concept: they are all designed to take money and power away from individuals, families, communities, businesses, charities, and states and transfer it directly to the federal government.
Centralized government control of vital national resources, which pretty much means everything when you break it all down, is practically the definition of communism.
For those who would parse words and say that Obama and his Democrat cohorts are socialist, let me remind you, the Soviet Union was a constitutionally socialist nation, and look what happened to them.
The only difference between socialism and communism … is time.

Dedicated to the ones she loved... A tribute to a friend

"Some people go through life trying to find out what the world holds for them only to find out too late that it's what they bring to the world that really counts." — L.M. Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables ADAPTED ( A Stepping Stone Book)
And there are some people who go through life dedicated to a cause...a cause that can only be repaid in heaven.  Joan was one such person.
The stray, injured, and abandoned animals of this world lost a close friend recently.  We've known Joan for close to forty years and during that time she has saved the lives of so many dogs and cats that we can only enumerate it with the acronym, "TNTC" (too numerous to count).  It was not only the small animals that concerned her, she once found out that several horses we're abused by neglect and she had all four transported (over 200 miles) to the farm where she nursed them back to good health and found them homes.  Then there was the African miniature goat that had one of its horns growing in a reversed curve into the animals skull...surely a slow and painful death would have resulted if Joan had not come to the rescue.  At her own expense she had a veterinarian remove the errant horn.  How she found out about the goat and numerous other cruelty cases has always been a mystery to me but somehow the news would get to her and without hesitation, acted immediately.
Some years ago she observed that the local animal control officer in the town where she lived was not feeding the captured animals properly.  Joan took it upon herself to be there every evening at feeding time, sometimes purchasing the food out of her own pocket.  As a result of her involvement a meeting was held at the town council which ended with the replacement of the animal control officer and a new and modern shelter was constructed.
I suppose that if I were to sum up in one word the kind of person Joan presented herself to others, it would have to be, "Dedicated"...that's with a capital D!  Its not only the fact that she found homes for so many animals, she should also be remembered that for each animal she bore the vet bills that included all the necessary shots and surgery such as spaying and neutering. ~ Norm... Oh and one last thought...someone once gave Joan a lobster and she was going to put it in the pond at the farm when she was advised that the lobster  would not survive in fresh water.  She could not bring herself to cooking the lobster so off to the bay where the lobster would find another day of freedom.

Going through her effects we found this cartoon that has to be close to fifty years old (yellowed with age) yet Joan saved it for some sentimental and perhaps a more meaningful purpose...she was 57 when she left us.
